Dr Russell Land's Background

Dr Russell Land (MBBS (Qld), FRANZCOG, Grad Cert (Pall Care) , CGO is a gynaecological surgeon specialising in the treatment of gynaecological cancers and colposcopy (abnormal smears) with a special interest in laparoscopic pelvic surgery (hysterectomy, ovarian cysts, lymph nodes, pelvic masses).

He is a consultant at Australia’s Largest Gynaecological Cancer Treatment Centre based at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in Brisbane with his private rooms based at the Greenslopes Private Hospital. He also visits the Wesley (Auchenflower) and Pindara (Gold Coast) private hospitals.

In addition to being a fully trained general Gynaecologist he is one of a handful of Certified Gynaecologic Oncologists who have had an additional 4 years of subspecialty training internationally encompassing advanced surgical techniques of the female genital tract, bowel and urinary tract surgery, laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery as well as training in chemotherapy and radiation treatment.
